Last September 23rd a rare rock and roll event happened last week. It was fun, it was a jam packed full house event, it was awesome. We had the pleasure of having Joey “Pepe” Smith back-to-back with Wally Gonzales on this prestigious night playing a medley of Filipino rock and roll. Both formerly of the Juan De la Cruz band, these two legends gave us a night of unforgettable experience brining the house down with their musical style and on-stage performance.

It is the second time Boracay Island has made it to the list. The first time it was recognized by the magazine was in 2011 when it was ranked as the fourth best island in the world. This year’s top 10 island destinations are: Boracay, Philippines; Bali, Indonesia; Galapagos, Ecuador; Maui, Hawaii; Great Barrier Reef Islands, Australia; Santorini, Greece; Kauai, Hawaii; Big Island, Hawaii; Sicily, Italy; and Vancouver Island, British Columbia. They will be honored at a ceremony on July 19, 2012 at the Conrad New York Hotel in New York City.

Dos Mestizos Boracay hosted the Kiteboard Tour Asia’s mid-week party! A fun filled night with delicious dinner and drinks, fun and games, and great company. Kiteboarders from around the world attended the competition held at Bulabog beach on January 11-15, all participated and worked hard to compete during the day. And at night, partied hard and at the middle of it all it was held at Dos Mestizos.
